Our service is offered via three basic packages.
- Wiring Harness - many (if not most) nuisance failures in older electro-pnuematic instruments are due to failure of the legacy switching systems used to activate the electro-pneumatic valves. LärmMacher replaces the multitude of key, relay, and switch contacts with a digital switching system - such that only a single key contact is needed to play any divisional note. As complex relay and switching mechanisms are all replaced with digital switching, long-term reliability and serviceability are greatly enhanced. In short, there is only one moving part between the console key and the electro-pnuematic valve - the console key. In this process, LärmMacher will entirely replace your existing wiring harness to meet or exceed the current National Electrical Code standards as published by the National Fire Protection Association, Inc.
The Wiring Harness package comes standard with the following:
- 100 Combination action memories
- Full MIDI record and playback to a USB port
- MIDI IN and MIDI OUT interface, with 4 MIDI pistons and a MIDI cancel
- All consoles are modified to be completely moveable by church personnel, outfitted such that they may be as easily relocated as providing 110 VAC, and an RJ45 computer network connection to the pipe organ network.
Console enhancements (like the memory system and MIDI controls) are "tucked" away in a drawer under the key desk stack (except the 4 MIDI pistons and MIDI cancel - usually under the Great key desk), retaining the classical yet refinished look and feel (and original builder plate) of your console.
- Wind Supply - with respect to the "releathering" of a pipe organ, in most cases the static air reservoir of the blower, and the divisional air reservoirs are usually the first to experience some type of leakage/failure. The Wind Supply package services your existing blower and upgrades and/or replaces your existing air reservoirs (usually rib reservoirs) with longer lasting floating top reservoirs.
- Chest Releathering - The Chest Releathering package is only offered for proposals that include the Wiring Harness package, or on instruments that have previously installed the LärmMacher Wiring Harness package. This availability is for several reasons. First, we are able to greatly reduce the uninstall and reinstall labor for the note activation on instruments where our wiring harness has been provided. Additionally, our wiring harness will often eliminate the unnecessary releathering/refurbishment of legacy switches and relays - which seriously impacts the bottom line to our quotations.
